Home is Where the Heart Is – Framed Maps Tutorial
I saw this idea on pinterest but the maps were in a floating frame. I just used a regular frame and took the mat out. The crinkled cardboard came with this frame so I used it as my backdrop. This frame is a 14×18″ frame. Wanna make your own?? It’s really quite easy. Simply go to THIS WEBSITE and find the maps of the states you have lived in and print the maps(click on the print PDF reference map). When printing I always clicked on “fit to printable area” so the print would be the size of my paper (I printed on white cardstock). Print as many state maps as you…

Join the 2 pieces of cardboard together by sliding one into the other, the base making a “+” sign. Hot glue in place at seams.…

Floating Frame Wedding Gift Idea
This is the perfect wedding or bridal shower gift! I took the beautiful couple’s engagement photo (that came in their invite) backed it with black cardstock paper, printed a picture of the temple they were married in (FREE printable lds temple pictures found HERE), cut out some vinyl and added a few embellishments like a flower and ribbon across the bottom. Found the Floating frame at JoAnns craft store. Simply tape your pics to the inside piece of glass, my ribbon is also on the inside between the glass. Then I put the vinyl on the front of the glass and hot glued the flower on the front. I just…

Extra Large Hope Chest/ Storage Bench Tutorial
This is the perfect little storage space for all those extra blankets and bedding you have lying around in piles(or at least we did)! But not anymore. My amazingly talented hubby and I built this chest for the end of our bed to hold all those items. This would also work great against a wall. *We have a cal. king bed so this bench is quite large. We searched all the furniture stores and everywhere online trying to find a storage bench to fit at the end of our bed, but they were all too short or didn’t have enough storage space! Want to make one for the end of…
