Shabby Apple 1940’s Dress Design

Shabby Apple Dare to Design Dress Submission…
I am so excited to share with you all my 1940’s Dress Design submission for Shabby Apples Design Contest. This dress would look great in many colors, but I just love a cute print. Navy with white polka dots would look great, or even a crimson red or Tiffany blue. I used a cotton print that flows nicely and is very comfortable. I was inspired by the 1940’s dresses that had fitted waist lines and were accented with a contrasting trim. I included a lightly gathered cap sleeve with a drop v-neckline. It also has a tie back to make the fit just right. I love how it turned out, I hope you love it too!

White zipper back with button closer….

Now just imagine this dress with a little modern addition…..a poofy fabric flower!!
