    Birthday Board

    May 3, 2012 /

The perfect wall hanging to keep track of all your family birthdays! I made this for my mother-in-law for Christmas! She loves it, now she can easily keep track off all her kids/grandkids birthdays! (This post contains Affiliate Links) Here are the only pics I took of the process (sorry there’s only 2!) Just paint a board the color you like, I then painted the egdes a darker brown. Cut your vinyl and line it all up. Attach vinyl, screw in some little hooks. Buy some little tags (I got these in packs at Joann’s for very cheap) I painted them to match the top(paint extra for when the family…

    Re-covered Vinyl High Chair!

    July 14, 2011 /

Our old high chair cover got riped and started to stink! It was time for a new cover. My daughter has out-grown her bumbo and needed a high chair so I found a cute girly vinyl fabric at a local quilt shop and got to work… I love how it turned out, don’t you! And best of all you can follow along and DIY to your old high chair cover! This is the only before picture I could find! This is when my little boy (now 3 year old) was a baby… Much better… Want to make your own?? Well here you go… start by making a pattern out of your…

Bench Seat Cushion – A DIY Tutorial

    June 27, 2011 /

I haven’t finished Sam’s ruffled bedding but I have a good reason why…..I was helping my friend make this…A Bench Seat Cushion for her guest room. Keep reading, I’ve added a tutorial so you can make your own DIY Bench Seat Cushion! All finished… Here’s a little TUTORIAL! This is the window seat before… Here is the really long piece of foam she bought from JoAnn’s… (we had to glue an extra piece on to fit the length of her 10 foot seat, we just used hot glue. Then we added batting for extra fluff. Wrapped it around and used hot glue to secure the edges, just a thin layer.…

    Father’s Day Candy Bouquet

    June 22, 2011 /

Here’s a cute idea for a Father’s Day gift or Valentine’s Day gift for daddy!! A candy bouquet…would be great as a teacher’s gift as well, maybe put a sign on it that says “your the sweetest!” Gather your supplies…. variety of candy bars, sticks, whoppers, Styrofoam(or extra whoppers), tissue paper or other embellishments… Cut off top of Whoppers box… Put Styrofoam in the whopper container and a square piece of paper..fill back up with whoppers, you could also just buy extra whoppers so they fill to the top! Tape your sticks to the back of the candy bars. Place Stick candy along edge of whopper container… I added little Tie…

    Summer Dress

    June 14, 2011 /

Saw THIS tutorial over at Make it and Love it and I just had to make one! When my sister came to visit we bought the material and got started. The elastic is a little time consuming but the end result is adorable. My daughter just loves it! Twirling!!! *My only recommendation would be to not use as much fabric. This dress is made to be 2.5 times your child’s size, I would recommend doing 1.5 to 2 times bigger! Feeding in your elastic would be much easier! Here are the formulas I used for the pieces: Main Pieces (cut2): (Child’s waist measurement) x 2.5, then add 2, then divide…

A cute and fun way to display your little treats! Here’s what you need. A small terra cotta pot, and base for lid. Round Glass bowl (found mine at the $1 store.) Paint color of choice, paint brush (or use spray paint), gloss top coat, wood ball with flat side, vinyl, candy… Start by painting your pot,lid and ball… Should look like this….
