Child/Toddler and Baby Halloween Costumes
I love to make my kids Halloween Costumes!! Here are a few I have made over the years! Our little Candy corn, made out of felt using the Candy Corn Simplicity Pattern for dummies, and then I made matching shoes and bag, she was so cute!! Butterfly Fairy, made some wings using foam, fabric and some rhinestones, with some elastic arm straps. Made a pink and purple tutu to match! She looked adorable again! The wings… And then she was tinkerbell, only she wanted to be pink!! Used this Simplicity pattern found HERE. Oh and not to forget the spider costume I made for our little crawler…. Go HERE for…
Saw THIS tutorial over at Make it and Love it and I just had to make one! When my sister came to visit we bought the material and got started. The elastic is a little time consuming but the end result is adorable. My daughter just loves it! Twirling!!! *My only recommendation would be to not use as much fabric. This dress is made to be 2.5 times your child’s size, I would recommend doing 1.5 to 2 times bigger! Feeding in your elastic would be much easier! Here are the formulas I used for the pieces: Main Pieces (cut2): (Child’s waist measurement) x 2.5, then add 2, then divide…
Jersey Knit Dress – Little Girl
Super Cute little girl’s Jersey knit dress. I made this little cutie for my daughter’s friend for her birthday. Probably the Quickest little girls dress I have ever made! Make up a pattern(make a pattern from a dress you already have in the size you like), cut out the fabric (don’t forget seam allowance), sew it together, do a rolled hem on the bottom edges(see below) and put a little elastic on the arm. Turned out so cute! Made a little matching Knit Pom pom hair clip… go HERE to learn how to make one!

Saw this awesome idea to paint a necklace on my little girls t-shirt. You can find the tutorial HERE… and I just had to make one for my little Samantha. It is really easy to make and you can add a little fabric flower to embellish it even more! Easy to do and very cute. The only advice I would give is to put more paint than you think on each dot. The more paint the puffier the dot after you steam it. The fabric paint is called “Velveteen” written up on the top edge of the bottle of fabric paint found at the craft store. It was intermixed with all the other…
