DIY "You are My Sunshine" Sign Tutorial
I made this adorable plaque for my best friend’s daughter! If you ever want to find the perfect gift for your friend just check out their pinterest boards! I found lots of cute pins on her board that said “You are my Sunshine” I had this really cute wood plaque from Hobby Lobby in my craft stash. First I painted it a pretty pastel yellow using some craft paint and a foam brush (took 3 coats)….
Then cut out your vinyl… I used my Silhouette to cut my words out of grey and white vinyl.
Remove vinyl backing and lay evenly on your sign. use a card to transfer your vinyl.
Peel off transfer paper….
Attach other vinyl…
Add embellishment if desired. I added a baby flower with a rhinestone in the middle to add dimension….
I just love how this turned out!!
